The role
An Estimator / Quantity Surveyor is needed to prepare quotations from drawings, manage project budgets, and handle valuations and variations. The role involves reviewing construction documents, obtaining quotations, and ensuring accurate cost management throughout projects. Candidates should have previous experience in construction estimating, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently from home. Site visits are required for inspections, valuations, and meetings, with expenses reimbursed. Technical skills in Excel and estimation software are essential, along with good negotiation and communication skills. A relevant qualification or strong practical experience in construction is preferred.
