The role
A Senior Front End Developer is responsible for leading the development of reusable front-end components and maintaining high standards of accessibility and user experience. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, responsive digital services across various platforms and browsers. Candidates are expected to have expert knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and open-source frameworks, along with proven experience in designing accessible interfaces aligned with WCAG 2.2 standards. The position requires providing technical leadership, setting best practices, and mentoring team members to foster continuous improvement and capability growth. Candidates will develop together with back-end integrations and support iterative, test-driven development processes to ensure high-quality outcomes. Leadership in engaging with community standards and contributing to cross-government solutions is also a key aspect of the role.
