The role
A Junior Doctor in Psychiatry provides clinical assistance by clerking patients, arranging investigations, and participating in ward reviews. The role involves liaising with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing urgent cases, and preparing discharge summaries within a hospital setting. Candidates are expected to have a medical degree, right to work in the UK, and excellent communication skills, with UK experience in psychiatry preferred. The position requires working on a rota with 48 hours per week, including on-call shifts, within a hospital environment dedicated to adult psychiatric care. Technical skills include knowledge of blood tests, ECG, ward procedures, and multidisciplinary team collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient care.
