The role
The position involves working closely with frontline employees and managers to foster effective relationships, drive engagement, and ensure HR best practices in a manufacturing setting. It requires building credible relationships on the shop floor and supporting a unionised environment through proactive engagement. The role includes supporting HR initiatives, policy development, and workforce planning, while acting as a key contact for people matters. Experience in employee relations within engineering or manufacturing and working with unions is essential. On-site presence is required to build rapport with staff. Qualifications such as CIPD are desirable but not mandatory.
