The role
Lead the mechanical design of server chassis from concept through production release.
Review complex 2D/3D drawings and perform CAD modeling, with FEA tooling when needed.
Drive system layout, cable routing, interference checks, and tolerance analysis with cross-functional teams.
Conduct system-level design risk assessments and FMEA to ensure reliability and durability.
Apply DFM/DFMEA, material properties, and manufacturability considerations to optimize designs.
Provide electro-mechanical development support, evaluating design options and guiding issue resolution.
