Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics – Oxford

The University of Oxford seeks to appoint an Associate Professor or Professor in Applied Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute from 1 October 2027 or soon after. The successful candidate will join a vibrant research community and contribute to building collaborations across the global research network. They will carry out high-standard research, secure funding, supervise students, and deliver teaching in various mathematical topics. Candidates should hold a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline with an excellent research record in applied mathematics. Preferences include developing data-centric methodologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, applicable across sciences. They also need to teach effectively across a range of mathematical subjects to a diverse student body.
