The role
A Python Software Engineer with at least three years' civilian or commercial experience is needed to join a defence technology team in Leicester. The role involves developing and coding software, collaborating within Agile teams, and creating technical documentation. Responsibilities include working in DevOps environments, troubleshooting complex issues, and translating requirements into effective solutions. Candidates should be familiar with Python, Linux, and Bash, with desirable skills in Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Jenkins, and R&D project experience. Exposure to secure or defence environments and SC clearance eligibility are highly favoured, along with a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
