The role
A DevOps Engineer is sought to implement infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-support applications on private cloud environments using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes. The role involves liaising with end-users to gather requirements, ensuring efficient resource utilisation and meeting deployment needs. Candidates should have experience with Kubernetes deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform development. Knowledge of public and private clouds or a background in higher education environments is desirable. The position is based in Bournemouth, offering a part-time onsite presence with a contract duration of four months inside IR35 regulations. Technical skills required include infrastructure automation, cloud computing, containerisation, and scripting, supported by strong communication skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
