The role
A Multimedia Reporter is responsible for sourcing and delivering local news stories across multiple channels, including radio, online, and social media. The role involves producing compelling content, reacting quickly to breaking news, and maintaining strong local contacts to uncover exclusive stories. Candidates should have recognised journalism qualifications, professional experience, and strong editing skills in audio and video. Knowledge of media law and compliance with Ofcom regulations are essential, along with the ability to work calmly under pressure and flexibly outside of office hours. The position is full-time and remote, with options to base in Leeds or Manchester, requiring a full UK driving licence and a proactive, creative approach to journalism.
