The role
The Associate/Senior Civil Engineer will perform professional and technical civil engineering activities of a complex nature within municipal departments focused on transportation and infrastructure.
Associates design, review, and implement capital improvement projects; review private development plans; provide field inspections and contract administration.
Seniors plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in complex design, construction management, plan checks for roads, utilities, buildings, and land development; lead and mentor staff.
Responsibilities include developing and managing capital improvement programs, conducting traffic and infrastructure studies, reviewing plans, permits, and development proposals, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The role involves presenting technical information to boards and commissions, coordinating with developers, contractors, and other agencies, and advising on policy and project delivery.
This is an in-office, full-time exempt position with a typical schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
