The role
Lead and guide criminal investigations into complex financial crimes and deceptive trade practices, coordinating subpoenas, investigative demands, and review of evidence.
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support case strategy, trial preparation, and prosecutorial actions.
Prepare and file prosecutorial actions and represent the office in court hearings, including preliminary hearings, pre-trial conferences, sentencings, motion hearings, and bench or jury trials.
Ensure witnesses are prepared and evidence is organized for effective courtroom presentation; collaborate with agents, consumer representatives, and staff.
Engage in community outreach and public education to raise awareness of fraud trends and assist consumers through reporting channels.
Travel statewide for court appearances, training opportunities, and related assignments; comply with background investigations as required.
