The role

This on-site Medical Assistant role supports direct patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting, performing routine noninvasive procedures and clinical support tasks under supervision. You will collect vital signs and patient data, perform lab tests and venipuncture after competency verification, and administer immunizations per provider orders. Additional duties include performing venipuncture and PPD skin testing, applying dressings, and delivering preventive care such as fluoride varnish according to protocol. You will maintain aseptic technique and infection control, prepare examination rooms, document in electronic health records, and assist with patient education and care coordination. The role also supports referrals and diagnostic testing, coordinates scheduling and insurance information, and participates in safety and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with MA certification, BLS certification, venipuncture competency, and 2+ years in an ambulatory setting; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
