The role
Under RN supervision, the Patient Care Technician delivers high-quality, patient-centered basic care in an acute care setting.
Performs direct and indirect care, including vital signs, intake/output, height/weight, and ongoing patient data collection.
Assists with activities of daily living, mobility, positioning, feeding, hygiene, and discharge preparation.
Maintains a safe, clean, and organized patient environment; observes and reports changes to the RN promptly.
Obtains specimens for diagnostic testing, assists with nursing procedures, and delivers medications to licensed staff.
Demonstrates empathy, strong communication, and teamwork while adhering to safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
