The role
Provide newborn nursery coverage Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, with night and weekend on-call responsibilities in a low-volume delivery setting.
Deliver comprehensive newborn care, including resuscitation, intubation, umbilical catheterization, and vent management.
Maintain current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and collaborate closely with the OB team.
Attend deliveries only when requested by the OB team, a rare but essential function.
Document patient care in Allscripts EMR and ensure high standards of safety and quality in newborn services.
