The role
A Senior HVDC Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the development and delivery of HVDC projects, including interconnectors and offshore wind farms, within a technical team. They provide expert advice on HVDC systems, converter station layouts, and system design, ensuring compliance with standards and risk management procedures. The role requires strong technical expertise in HVDC project specifications, system studies, and interface management, alongside knowledge of UK and international grid connection processes. The engineer will contribute to technical bids, support project delivery, and potentially travel for site and client engagements. Required skills include a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, with chartership preferred, along with experience in power system analysis and HVDC projects. The position offers an opportunity to influence energy infrastructure and work on highly impactful projects globally.
