The role
The role involves using personal experience of the criminal justice system to collaborate on designing and reviewing justice programmes and resources. Consultants participate in workshops, consultations, and service development sessions, bringing insight and creativity to the process. They work closely with staff and peers, helping to ensure services are trauma-informed and inclusive of diverse perspectives. Responsibilities include contributing to programme design, providing feedback on existing models, and developing creative materials such as campaigns and videos. The position may involve supporting the recruitment and mentoring of new consultants and representing lived experience leadership in justice reform initiatives. It is sessional work involving paid workshops and travel expenses, within a collaborative network committed to justice sector change.
