The role
Oversee the Pretreatment Program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local waste regulations.
Lead inspections of industrial and commercial discharges to prevent damage to sewer systems and treatment facilities.
Issue wastewater discharge permits, interim permits, compliance schedules, and enforcement actions for non-compliant facilities.
Review construction drawings for pretreatment requirements and manage complex projects for stormwater compliance.
Supervise Pretreatment Inspectors, provide training, and coordinate responses to regulatory issues and penalties.
Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree in physical or environmental sciences with four years’ pretreatment experience and leadership exposure.
