The role
Teach high school English Language Arts from a robust, inclusive literature curriculum that emphasizes student engagement and college readiness.
Facilitate student-led discourse, guide analysis of texts by diverse authors, and help students develop strong writing and critical thinking skills.
Differentiate instruction using data on student work and assessments to meet diverse learner needs.
Collaborate with department and grade-level teams to plan content, share effective strategies, and support all students' growth.
Build positive relationships with students and families, maintain a supportive classroom culture, and participate in ongoing coaching and professional development.
Prepare students for AP, SAT, and college coursework through consistent practice, feedback, and rigorous instruction.
