The role
Under supervision of senior staff, support field and office-related efforts including observing soil borings and installing groundwater monitoring wells. Collect groundwater, sediment, soil, soil vapor, and air samples; operate air monitoring equipment; and oversee remedial construction activities. In office, assist with project planning and management, client and agency interaction, data review, and development of investigation and remedial strategies. Delegate field tasks, manage budgets, coordinate subcontractors, and document construction activities and project specifications. Review data for completeness and draft Phase I ESA, MCP submittals, and soil management documents. Requirements include a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology (M.S. a plus); 3–5+ years of environmental consulting experience; 40-hour HAZWOPER; valid driver’s license; willingness to travel and perform year-round field tasks; and strong technical writing and communication skills.
