The role
A neighbourhood enforcement compliance officer investigates and addresses environmental issues such as fly tipping, littering, waste offences, and statutory nuisance issues affecting local communities. The role involves outdoor work in all weather conditions, engaging with the public, and maintaining accurate records and reports using IT systems. Candidates should possess organisational and investigatory skills, with experience in environmental crime, health, or regulatory enforcement being advantageous. Excellent communication skills and resilience are essential to deal with diverse public interactions and problem-solving. The position requires GCSEs in English, Mathematics, and Science, with additional qualifications or enforcement experience preferred.
