The role
Plumbing and heating engineers carry out emergency call-outs, diagnose issues, and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of domestic systems. They also complete gas safety inspections and generate certificates in accordance with safety regulations. The role involves attending emergency requests on a rota, often requiring travel across various locations and working independently. Technical skills including fault diagnosis, pipework, leak repairs, and certification are essential, alongside strong customer service abilities. Knowledge of Gas Safe regulations is advantageous for candidates. The position demands flexibility, reliability, and professional communication in a fast-paced environment.
