The role
A senior construction manager is responsible for leading civil works on major HVDC transmission projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and contractors. The role involves overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, and managing multiple contractors to deliver quality work within programmes. Candidates should have extensive on-site construction experience, particularly in infrastructure or civils, and a strong knowledge of safety regulations including CDM 2015. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for coordinating with project teams and local communities. A full UK driving licence is required due to site travel, with the role focusing on leadership and compliance at the site level.
