The role
A leading UK infrastructure and engineering business seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to support its legal function. The role involves advising on construction and commercial contracts, from tenders to delivery, and supporting contentious matters and dispute resolution. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, providing pragmatic legal advice and developing legal processes and standards. It requires an experienced lawyer with strong negotiation, drafting, and stakeholder management skills, preferably with in-house or relevant private practice experience. The role offers significant autonomy, exposure to various legal areas, and the opportunity to contribute to legal risk management and contract optimisation.
