The role
A clinical psychologist in this role provides high-quality psychological assessments and interventions for individuals coping with cancer, utilising various therapeutic formats including individual and group work. The position involves psychological leadership, governance, and supervision within the centre team, ensuring best practices and quality assurance in programme delivery. The psychologist collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and contributes to psychosocial research, developing and promoting support services. Candidates should have postgraduate doctoral training in clinical or counselling psychology and be eligible for chartered status with BPS; they must possess excellent communication skills and experience in research and audit. The role requires working knowledge of psychological wellness, health psychology, and quality of life models, with skills in project management and research methodologies. Responsibilities also include staff training, risk management, and programme evaluation within a supportive organisational environment.
