The role
This role leads the architecture, modernization, and scaling of enterprise data infrastructure, bridging legacy SQL Server data warehouses with Hadoop/Databricks data lakes.
You will design and implement scalable, distributed data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and Delta Lake to support analytics and AI workflows.
Responsibilities include optimizing SQL Server models and creating modern equivalents, defining migration strategies, and enforcing data governance, security, and retention policies.
You will collaborate with ML and platform teams to power retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, vector databases, and MCP-based AI data flows.
Lead and mentor engineers, maintain data quality and lineage, and ensure production reliability, performance, and compliance with data policies.
This is a hybrid role with in-office days; travel 5-10% may be required.
