The role
The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides technical and engineering design expertise to support the product range and operational requirements within the maritime industry. The role involves designing new systems, providing support for existing products, and leading a small engineering team through development and performance reviews. Responsibilities include creating technical documentation, liaising across departments, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations such as PD5500, ASME VIII, and EN 13445. Candidates should possess proven mechanical design experience, understanding of gas and fluid systems, and familiarity with industry codes like Lloyds, DNV, and ABS. The role requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience, with added advantage if diving qualifications are held. Technical proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and PLM systems is essential for success in this position.
