The role
An Electrical Project Engineer manages complete engineering projects for industrial control and automation systems, from initial enquiry to final handover. The role involves supporting design, development, and implementation of electrical control and automation solutions, reviewing electrical schematics and technical documentation, and working with PLC, SCADA, and safety-critical systems. The engineer coordinates activities across engineering, manufacturing, and installation teams, liaising with customers to ensure project success. Responsibilities include factory acceptance testing, overseeing installation and commissioning at customer sites, and ensuring projects meet technical standards. The position combines office-based engineering work with periodic travel for site support across the UK. A suitable candidate will have relevant engineering qualifications, experience managing projects, and strong communication skills, with advantageous knowledge in control systems and electrical design.
