The role
A locum specialty doctor in emergency medicine provides assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients attending the Emergency Department. They deliver timely and effective emergency care aligned with NHS guidelines, handling acute medical, surgical, and trauma cases. The role involves performing clinical procedures within the scope of competence and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and nursing staff. Maintaining accurate record-keeping and participating in clinical handovers are essential duties. Candidates should possess full GMC registration, NHS emergency medicine experience, and certifications in ALS, APLS, and ATLS. The position offers flexible hours within a supportive NHS Trust environment.
