The role
A senior backend developer with expertise in Java Spring Boot and Camunda 8 is sought to support mortgage and lending platform modernisation within the financial sector, operating remotely from Toronto. The candidate will design and develop backend services using cloud-native patterns, including API-first services and resilient workflows. Responsibilities include building secure APIs, supporting cloud deployments in Azure, and implementing observability features using tools like New Relic and ELK Stack. Collaboration with technical teams and adherence to Agile and DevSecOps practices are essential, as well as contributing to architectural decisions and system optimisation. The role requires extensive experience in microservices, API security, and containerisation, with physical or hybrid presence in Toronto preferred.
