The role
A front end software engineer in Birmingham works on developing responsive and accessible web applications using React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. They collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into high-quality user interfaces and integrate systems via APIs and headless CMS platforms such as AEM. The role involves working with backend teams to ensure seamless API consumption, optimise code for performance and security, and implement SEO and accessibility standards. They also contribute to CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot issues in frontend and integrated systems, applying current trends and best practices in digital development. Familiarity with Adobe tools, API gateways, and AI-enhanced development tools is advantageous to deliver high-performing digital experiences.
