The role
A Business Editor based in Manchester is responsible for delivering daily local business coverage, sourcing original stories to inform and engage readers, and curating newsletters, live blogs, and exclusive content to increase site visits. The role involves actively developing contacts within the business community, representing the brand at events and on social media, and feeding regional enterprise stories into the platform. Candidates should have an extensive local network or the ability to build one quickly, a strong understanding of digital content strategies, and confidence in engaging with business leaders. The position requires a self-motivated individual capable of maintaining high publishing standards and maximising revenue opportunities through commercial collaboration. Flexibility is essential as the role involves attending in-person events outside regular working hours in the Manchester or Lancashire area.
