The role
The role involves managing procurement activities related to direct manufacturing materials such as chemicals and gases, supporting global sourcing strategies and supplier performance improvement within a manufacturing environment. The procurement specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality, to ensure continuous supply and cost optimisation. Key responsibilities include sourcing, supplier management, market analysis, and process improvement to maintain efficient procurement operations. Candidates should have a relevant degree, minimum three years' experience in procurement, strong negotiation and data analysis skills, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office. Exposure to the semiconductor sector or technical procurement with gases and chemicals is advantageous. The role is based on a hybrid model in Manchester, working with global teams to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
