The role
The civil construction estimator evaluates project plans, specifications, and costs to prepare accurate estimates for sitework, utilities, and structures. They conduct quantity takeoffs, collaborate with project teams, and analyse vendor quotes, ensuring competitiveness and compliance. The role demands skills in CAD, estimating software, and market trend analysis to maintain accurate cost databases. Candidates should have at least five years’ experience in civil estimating, with knowledge of E&S measures and civil scopes. Effective communication, organisational skills, and familiarity with project procedures are essential. The position is based fully on-site in Fredericksburg, VA, supporting civil projects across various sectors.
