The role
The University of South Wales seeks an experienced solicitor specialising in employment and litigation law to join its Legal Services team. The role involves providing expert legal advice on employment matters such as restructures, redundancies, tribunals, TUPE transfers, and employee relations, reporting to the General Counsel. The solicitor will support a workforce of approximately 2,000 staff and advise on complaints, disciplinary proceedings, and governance issues. Working independently, the successful candidate will build strong organisational relationships and manage various legal caseloads. The position offers strategic advisory responsibilities in a large educational environment, encouraging career development within a values-driven institution. The role is based primarily at the Pontypridd campus on a full-time, fixed-term basis.
