The role
A Senior Mechanical Engineer will work on a variety of energy projects, including waste-to-energy plants, district heating, and hydrogen schemes, across the full project lifecycle. Their duties encompass conducting site surveys, developing mechanical designs, and supporting the production of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports. They will review vendor designs and monitor project delivery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and technical compliance. The role requires strong technical skills in mechanical systems and process technologies, with experience in energy or process engineering preferred. Chartered status or progress towards it is desirable, and the candidate must be confident managing projects from conception to installation. This position aims to influence UK energy infrastructure's safety, sustainability, and resilience, contributing to the nation's low-carbon transition.
