The role
Seeking a Senior Data Scientist to own end-to-end identity verification and fraud-detection initiatives, collaborating with product, engineering, and operations.
Design and deploy production ML models for identity fraud detection, including feature engineering, model development, evaluation, thresholding, and lifecycle management.
Develop advanced techniques such as computer vision for detecting fake or tampered images, LLMs for surfacing suspicious user attributes, and graph-based models to uncover bad-actor clusters.
Deploy a real-time anomaly detection system and design intelligent sampling methods to estimate rare events and metrics like recall and false positive/negative rates.
Automate and optimize human-in-the-loop ML processes for labeling and model training, with clear data visualizations and storytelling to drive cross-functional impact.
Collaborate across teams to scale identity verification defenses while balancing security, user trust, and social well-being.
