The role
A process engineer in Quincy develops and optimises continuous chemical manufacturing processes, analysing data to resolve bottlenecks and improve efficiency. They manage initiatives under the guidance of management, troubleshoot plant process issues, and develop documentation and training materials for operators. The role supports new product development and implementation, measures process capability and yield using statistical methods, and promotes safety and environmental standards. Collaboration with R&D, engineering, and operations teams is essential to share best practices and ensure compliance. The engineer must have a degree in chemical engineering, experience in manufacturing, technical knowledge in heat transfer, fluid flow, and instrumentation, and excellent communication skills. Preferred skills include reading schematics, GMP knowledge, programming experience, and TWIC certification, with a focus on continuous chemical processing in a high-hazard environment.
