The role
An environmental engineer manages site assessments and remediation projects, ensuring compliance and developing risk management strategies. They provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams involving engineers, scientists, and technologists. The role also requires designing remediation programmes for contaminated soil, groundwater, and vapour, as well as liaising with clients, government agencies, and subcontractors. Candidates are expected to have a degree in civil or environmental disciplines, be licensed or eligible for registration, and possess significant project management experience. They should demonstrate expertise in groundwater evaluations, site assessments, and remedial actions, alongside strong report writing and communication skills.
