The role
A Manufacturing Engineer based in Wednesbury provides technical support across milling, turning, and multi-axis machining environments, focusing on process optimisation, programming, and technical consultancy. The role involves developing CNC programmes for various machining applications, supporting on machine setup and machining strategies, and applying advanced CAD/CAM expertise with platforms like Fusion 360, HyperMill, or NX. They collaborate with teams to deliver machining projects that enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and increase process reliability. The engineer applies engineering judgement to solve manufacturing challenges, supports digital manufacturing initiatives, and partners with suppliers to utilise new tooling innovations. Emphasising safety, quality, and efficiency, they work to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Being a key technical resource, they contribute to customer education, machining guides, and evaluating emerging manufacturing technologies.
