The role
Oversee day-to-day interpretation services operations, ensuring timely access to qualified interpreters for non-English and limited-English patients and families.
Direct supervision and professional development of interpreters and per diem staff, including annual performance reviews.
Coordinate scheduling, triage software, referrals, and coverage across departments to ensure reliable interpreter availability.
Enforce policies, address feedback and incidents, and prepare reports for leadership and public health requirements.
Lead trainings for staff and departments on working with interpreters and with patients with limited English proficiency.
Demonstrate cultural humility, empathy, and a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and patient-centered care while maintaining data-driven operations.
