The role
Lead the mechanical design scope for new and retrofit data centers, covering air- and liquid-cooling, with emphasis on redundancy and energy efficiency.
Develop and maintain mechanical design standards, OPR/BODs, ensuring code-compliant, scalable facilities.
Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection for pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and heat exchangers.
Collaborate with electrical, controls, and architectural teams to optimize facility layout, energy use, and serviceability.
Oversee plumbing and fire-protection design for full integration with mechanical infrastructure and code compliance; review submittals.
Support commissioning activities (FAT, site inspections, IST), evaluate new cooling technologies, and drive energy-efficiency initiatives.
