The role
Lead building statistical models and production systems to improve marketplace design and operations for users, advertisers, and the platform.
Tune marketplace parameters (e.g., utility functions), optimize ad diversity and load, implement auctions, and model long-term effects to reduce ad fatigue and improve advertiser outcomes.
Define and run experiments to understand long-term marketplace dynamics and balance short- and long-term business objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, and product partners to translate economic theory into scalable, impact-driven solutions.
Apply knowledge to applications such as marketplace performance analysis, advertiser churn/retention modeling, bandwidth allocation, and ranking/pricing/mechanism design.
Leverage strong software engineering and causal inference skills to deliver robust ML-powered insights and data-informed decisions.
