The role
Design electrical infrastructure for greenfield and brownfield data center facilities, including medium voltage distribution and highly redundant power systems.
Develop and deliver design plans and specs for permitting and construction, including on-site generation, UPS, small power, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm.
Independently manage smaller projects while contributing to larger, multi-discipline efforts under a senior engineer's guidance.
Utilize Autodesk Revit daily to produce detailed design documents and coordinate with mechanical, telecom, fire protection, and architectural teams; review client design criteria and applicable codes.
Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers, review work, and collaborate with clients to meet project milestones and deadlines (travel 10-20%).
Prepare and review power studies (Neher-McGrath, short circuit, coordination, arc flash) and ensure integration with monitoring systems and control interfaces.
