The role
Design, execute, and analyze laboratory-scale hydrometallurgical experiments including leaching, separation, and purification of critical metals.
Perform wet chemistry tasks such as solution preparation, pH control, precipitation, filtration, and careful material handling.
Generate high-quality data to support process development and early scale-up decisions, translating results into scalable process concepts.
Assist in equipment sizing and selection for reactors, thickeners, filtration systems, and mixer-settlers based on experimental outcomes.
Collaborate with R&D and pilot teams to troubleshoot challenges and refine operating conditions; contribute to PFDs and mass balances.
Maintain thorough experimental records and documentation for internal design reviews while upholding lab safety practices.
