The role
An estimator in Chorley supports the pre-construction team by preparing accurate cost and resource estimates, producing competitive tender submissions, and identifying risks and value engineering opportunities. They work closely with engineering, planning, commercial, and operational teams to ensure successful project handovers and continuous process improvement. The role requires expertise in civil engineering or construction estimating, particularly within Rail, Highways, Water, or Energy sectors, and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Candidates must demonstrate strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills. Good organisational and communication skills are essential for managing multiple tenders and priorities effectively.
