The role
Design electro-mechanical systems and mechanisms for automated fiber optics manufacturing equipment.
Develop part handling, micro-assembly, and testing solutions for high-precision production.
Create motion systems using belts, gears, lead screws, cams, linkages, and linear guides.
Size and integrate actuators and motion components (servos, steppers, pneumatics, linear actuators).
Produce 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings with defined materials, tolerances, and fits.
Support prototype builds, system bring-up, debugging, and design-for-manufacturability improvements.
