The role
The University of Salford seeks a qualified electrician to join its Estates Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining electrical systems, conducting inspections, fault repairs, and supporting minor installations across the campus. The role requires carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on diverse electrical systems, including small power and lighting. The successful candidate will work independently or collaboratively with other trades, adhering to health and safety regulations and supporting electrical safety initiatives. Skills needed include City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, AM2 assessment success, and experience with single and three-phase systems. They should demonstrate strong communication, workload management, and a professional manner in interactions with campus users.
