The role
An experienced electrician is required at the University of Salford to perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks across various estates. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and installing electrical systems, mainly in educational, research, residential, and specialised facilities. Candidates should have a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations and successfully completed the AM2 assessment. The position demands excellent understanding of health and safety practices, with an ability to work independently or within a trades team, and support other minor tasks such as joinery and plumbing. The role involves collaborating with other tradespeople and supporting the campus with electrical safety and control systems.
