The role
Line 1: Perform decontamination, cleaning, packaging, sterilization, and storage of medical/surgical equipment in compliance with CDC, OSHA, EPA, AAMI, Title 22, APIC, SGNA, and JC guidelines.
Line 2: Fill department requests, restock supplies, and manage specialty carts and patient equipment per policy.
Line 3: Disassemble, clean, and decontaminate instruments according to manufacturer recommendations, including ultrasonic cleaning.
Line 4: Assemble, inspect, test, wrap, and date instrument sets per protocol; maintain sterilization records and PM status.
Line 5: Operate sterilizers, automated endoscope reprocessors, incubators, sealers, and washers; use instrument tracking systems for documentation.
Line 6: Prepare OR case carts and maintain sterile packages, while delivering customer service and collaborating with teammates.
