The role
The Cybersecurity / SOC Analyst II role focuses on threat monitoring, detection, and incident response within a 24/7/365 SOC environment.
Investigate and analyze detections from NGFW, EDR, NDR, TIP, and SIEM tools while optimizing configurations to enhance proactive protection.
Lead incident response for detections escalated by junior analysts, defining the scope of attacks and remediation steps.
Collaborate to develop and refine SOC processes, playbooks, and threat intelligence practices to stay ahead of evolving threats.
Provide mentorship to junior staff and conduct malware analysis and network forensics to strengthen detection capabilities.
Maintain strong knowledge of security controls, MITRE ATT&CK, cloud platforms like Azure, AD, and cross-functional collaboration with admins.
